How selling works on Machines & Bids

Machines & Bids is a marketplace built specifically for heavy equipment. Whether you sell at a fixed price or at auction, the goal is the same: get your machine in front of qualified buyers with the paperwork done properly. Here is what the process looks like.

1. Create your listing

Add your machine's details — make, model, year, hours or kilometres, and clear photos from several angles. The more accurate the information, the more confident buyers are, and the fewer questions you field later.

2. Choose fixed price or auction

A fixed-price listing lets buyers make an offer or buy at your asking price. An auction runs for a set period with live bidding. If you are unsure what your machine is worth, you can order a market valuation before you decide.

3. Documents and the sale

When a deal is agreed, we pre-complete our own commercial documents — the vendor declaration and bill of sale — so nothing is missed. Any government registration step (for on-highway units) stays with the licensed operator; we track it but never generate government documents on your behalf.

4. Getting paid

Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller. The platform records the transaction and keeps your documents together; it never moves money automatically on your behalf.
